The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Fossil Energy has selected the Wong group to receive funding for a project that advances fossil fuel technologies and also provides educational and research training opportunities. This project was selected through the University Coal Research (UCR) Program and the Historically Black Colleges & Universities and Other Minority Institutions (HBCU/OMI) Program. These programs are intended to help educate the next generation of scientists and engineers while advancing innovative and fundamental research focused on coal-based, fossil energy resources.
